COMUNICATI ANSAMED LIBRI: AD ALGERINA WASSILA TAMZALI PREMIO FRANCE TELEVISION (ANSAmed) - NAPOLI, 20 MAR - Per anni impegnata presso l´Unesco nella difesa dei diritti delle donne arabe e fautrice del dialogo mediterraneo, Wassila Tamzali ha vinto il premio France Television 2008 per il suo ultimo libro, ´Une education algerienne- De la revolution a´ la decennie noiré uscito in settembre da Gallimard. Uno straordinario affresco dell´Algeria che ha convinto ben 16 dei 25 membri della giuria popolare, i cui membri sono scelti dal comitato di selezione composto da 12 critici letterari della tv francese pubblica, presieduto da Olivier Barrot. "Quando i venti e le tempeste avranno spazzato via le parole dei falsi profeti, solo i poeti resteranno alla fine della storia e le loro parole feconderanno ancora e ancora la nostra anima", è una delle frasi più belle e poetiche del libro in cui l´autrice delinea tra le righe della storia del suo paese la piccola storia della sua famiglia, protagonista in prima linea della rivoluzione che portò all´indipendenza dalla Francia e vittima della successiva repressione del regime. Un racconto pervaso di dolore per la successiva disillusione di un´intera generazione, quella della ´pasionaria´ Wassila che in quella rivoluzione cruenta aveva creduto. (ANSAmed). BOOKS: WASSILA TAMZALI WINS 2008 FRANCE TELEVISION AWARD (ANSAmed) - NAPLES, MARCH 20 - After a very long experience in the protection of Arab women´s rights at the UNESCO and as supporter of the Mediterranean dialogue, Wassila Tamzali won the 2008 France Television Award for her latest book “Une education algerienne - De la revolution à la decennie noire” published by Gallimard in September. The extraordinary fresco of Algeria convinced 16 out of the 25 members of the peoplés jury, whose members are selected by the selection committee made of 12 literary critics from the French public TV channel, chaired by Olivier Barrot. "When the winds and the storms have swept away the words of the false prophets, only the poets will remain at the end of history and their words will continue to stimulate our soul," is one of the most beautiful and poetic phrases of the book in which the author tells between the lines the story of her country, the small story of her family, main figures in the frontline of the revolution that brought the independence from France and victims of the following repressions of the regime. The tale is pervaded by pain from the disappointment of an entire generation, the generation of the ´passionate´ Wassila, who used to believe in that cruel revolution.
