MRS Suzanne Mubarak will be in Alexandria today to inaugurate the two-day conference on higher education cooperation and cultural dialogue among Mediteranean Basin countries.
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research,
Dr Mofied Shehab said that Mrs Mubarak will be delivering the opening speech at
the conference, which is being organised by the European Union (EU) in
cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Bibliotheca
Alexandrina on the occasion of its anniversary.
Dr Shehab added that up to 400 world figures will be
attending the conference, including the President of the EU Commission, Romano
Prodi, who is to give a speech on the new EU policies and cultural dialogue
between Mediterranean countries.
