EUROMED:YOUNG E BENNATO SALUTANO A OTRANTO ANNO MEDITERRANEO

(ANSAMED) - BARI, 3 GEN - Si è svolta ad Otranto, in Salento, il lembo d'Italia più ad Oriente, la manifestazione più significativa promossa in Puglia per l'arrivo del 2005. Su iniziativa dei ministri degli esteri dei 35 Paesi Euromed, decisa in occasione della riunione svoltasi a fine novembre all'Aja, i musicisti Paul Young ed Eugenio Bennato hanno tenuto un concerto tra le antiche mura della città. Migliaia di persone hanno raggiunto Otranto la sera di San Silvestro e per tutta la notte hanno seguito il concerto che ha inaugurato l"Anno del Mediterraneò. Durante l'evento musicale è stata lanciata anche una raccolta fondi da destinare ai senzatetto del sud est asiatico, a partire dai due artisti protagonisti della serata che devolveranno parte del compenso pattuito.(ANSAMED). (ANSAMED) - BARI, JANUARY 3 - The most significant event promoted in Puglia to celebrate the new year took place in Otranto, in the Salento region, Italy's most eastern area. Organized under the initiative of the foreign ministers of 35 Euromed countries decided at a November meeting in Aja, the Paul Young and Eugenio Bennato concert was held in the ancient part of the city. Thousands of people reached Otranto to celebrate New Year's Eve listening to the concert, which inaugurated the 'Mediterranean Year'. The performance also served as a fundraising event for the populations of South-East Asia and parts of the proceeds of the performance will be donated to charity programmes.(ANSAMED).
