EUROMED: INTINI, LAVORARE PERCHE' ANNA LINDH SIA CASA COMUNE
(ANSAmed) - ROMA, 14 NOV ¿ La Fondazione euromediterranea Anna Lindh per il dialogo tra le culture è "se non il luogo, certamente uno dei luoghi" in cui può trovare dimora quel patrimonio prezioso che caratterizza il partenariato euro-mediterraneo. Lo ha detto il vice ministro degli esteri Ugo Intini, partecipando alla riunione plenaria della rete italiana della Fondazione euromediterranea, ai cui partecipanti ha rivolto l'invito a "contribuire nel costruire questa casa comune". Intini ha sottolineato in particolare come cultura e istruzione superiore rappresentino due "campi essenziali per la conoscenza reciproca fra nord e sud del Mediterraneo" e ha indicato negli scambi tra studenti e docenti, nell'avvicinamento dei titoli e dei programmi e nel riconoscimento della varietà dei modelli di riferimento culturale "la ricchezza del partenariato che viene riconosciuta come patrimonio prezioso da salvaguardare e da non appiattire nel conformismo, o peggio, nello scontro tra stereotipi". Il vice ministro degli esteri ha quindi tracciato un "piccolo bilancio" del consiglio dei ministri degli esteri Euromed di Lisbona, evidenziando in particolare che, con le conclusioni adottate col consenso di tutti si è avuto un esito "non scontato", e "lo scoglio del Medio Oriente, almeno riguardo al linguaggio da adoperare, è stato superato con qualche difficoltà e generale soddisfazione". Intini ha poi definito l'ammissione di Albania e Mauritania nel partenariato euromeditarreneo una "prova di vitalità di Barcellona che continua ad attirare attenzioni di Paesi finora esclusi". Mentre sull'idea di Unione mediterranea illustrata a Lisbona dalla delegazione francese, il vice ministro ha osservato che "le conclusioni l'hanno inquadrata come elemento del partenariato e dunque non in alternativa, ma come rafforzamento di Barcellona". "Meno felice", infine, secondo Intini, è stato il dibattito sulla scelta del nuovo presidente della Anna Lindh, la cui nomina è stata rinviata a gennaio. (ANSAmed). 2007-11-14 15:28

(ANSAmed) - ROME, NOVEMBER 14 - The Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for dialogue between the cultures is "if not the place, surely one of the places" where those precious heritage which characterises the Euro-Mediterranean heritage could find home, Deputy Foreign Minister Ugo Intini said at the plenary meeting of the Italian network of the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation, whose participants he invited to "contribute for the building of this common home". Intini underlined that culture and high education represent two "essential fields for the mutual knowledge between the northern and southern Mediterranean" and said that the exchange of students and professors, the approach of degrees and programmes and the recognition of the variety of models for cultural reference show "the richness of the partnership which is recognised as precious partnership to be protected and not changed into conformism, or worse, in clash between stereotypes". Therefore, the Deputy Foreign Minister outlined a "small balance" of the council of the Euro-Mediterranean Foreign Ministers in Lisbon, pointing out that, with the conclusions adopted with the consent of everybody, there were "unexpectable results" and "the hurdle of the Middle East, at least as regards the language to be used, was overtaken with some difficulties and general satisfaction". Intini then defined the joining of Albania and Mauritania to the Euro-Mediterranean partnership as a "proof of vitality of Barcelona which continues to attract the attention of countries until now excluded". While on the idea of a Mediterranean Union explained in Lisbon by the French delegation, the Deputy Minister observed that "the conclusions have situated it as an element of the partnership and therefore not as alternative, but as a strengthening of Barcelona".
