EUROMED: BASSOLINO CHIEDE DELEGA PER PAESI MEDITERRANEI
(ANSAmed) - NAPOLI, 20 APR - Il coordinamento tra le Regioni del Mezzogiorno, che sarà varato a Napoli il 3 maggio, chiederà ad un eventuale governo di centro-sinistra una delega per i Paesi del Mediterraneo, lo ha annunciato il governatore della Campania Antonio Bassolino al termine dell'incontro con Romano Prodi nella città partenopea. "Martedì 3 maggio, a Napoli, comincia a vivere il coordinamento del Mezzogiorno. In quell'occasione definiremo i temi che vogliamo assieme affrontare e portare avanti," ha detto Bassolino. "Abbiamo convenuto sulla necessità di muoverci verso Bruxelles e di muoverci anche tutti quanti assieme verso il Mediterraneo, perché è così, facendo rete e non muovendoci soltanto ognuno per proprio conto, che il Mezzogiorno può essere interlocutore importante delle politiche verso quest'area." Le future relazioni con i Paesi del Mediterraneo verrebbero coordinate attraverso gli assessorati al Mediterraneo che tutte le regioni meridionali si sono impegnate a istituire. (ANSAmed).  EUROMED: SOUTHERN ITALIAN REGIONS TO MOVE TOWARDS THE MED
(ANSAmed) - NAPLES, APRIL 20 - The new body that is to be set up to coordinate Southern Italian regions will ask a future centre-left government power to deal directly with countries from the southern bank of the Mediterranean, Antonio Bassolino, the governor of the Campania region, told reporters after a meeting in Naples with the leader of the centre-left coalition and former European Commission president Romano Prodi. "On May 3, in Naples, a new agency to coordinate southern Italian regions will be born. On that day we will draw up the various projects we wish to carry out," Bassolino said. "We plan to put pressure on Brussels as a united block and always together to move towards the Mediterranean countries of the southern shore. The southern Italian regions can have an important role to play in the Mediterranean basin only if they are united."
