The fourth session of the II Forum Civile
Euromed, within the thematic area Strategies in communications
and relations, stressed the topical role of media for the
intercultural dialogue and the information system and telematic
network development for the growth of regional situations.
Of course, the civil society, represented at the II Forum
Civile Euromed, recommends actions in defence of democracy
and of the freedom of information.
In the conclusions, it is recommended to develop information
systems, essential tools to improve the services to citizens,
so easing the civil living together. Telecommunication networks
must meet the needs of the individual in the framework of
everyday life collective services. Among the proposed projects
: the Mediterranean Television Channel, the Mediterranean
Observatory of Communication, the Typography for Algeria.
