EUROMED: PRIMA SEDUTA PARLAMENTO GIOVANI EUROMEDITERRANEI
(ANSAmed) - BERLINO, 1 GIU - L'attesa prima seduta dell'Emyp, il Parlamento dei giovani euromediterranei, è avvenuta oggi all'Abgeordnetehaus di Berlino, la sede del parlamento regionale della capitale tedesca. La sede del segretariato del neonato Parlamento sarà a Napoli e l'Italia nel 2008 accoglierà la seconda Assemblea del 'Parlamento Euromediterraneo dei Giovani'', ha detto il presidente della Fondazione Mediterraneo, Michele Capasso. La sua fondazione con il sostegno del ministero degli affari Esteri italiano offrirà ospitalità all'Emyp e alle sue segreterie. L'Emyp avrà inoltre un contatto diretto con l'Assemblea parlamentare euro-mediterranea (Empa) allo scopo di unire i giovani tra le due sponde. "Giovani che parlano arabo, ebraico e greco si sono riuniti a un tavolo e hanno discusso di dialogo interculturale con un dibattito aperto e rispetto reciproco" ha detto il professore Mustafà Chérif, uno dei relatori che ha aperto la seduta plenaria cui ha partecipato anche il ministro degli Esteri tedesco Frank-Walter Steinmeier e la vice presidente del Parlamento europeo Luisa Morgantini. Sono le risoluzioni da sottopore al "Parlamento di Strasburgo, dove le commissioni dei giovani potranno riunirsi e presentare le loro proposte", ha detto la signora Morgantini, che si augura anche l'adozione di un programma Erasmus per studenti arabi e del mediterraneo. La seduta si è svolta nello stesso giorno in cui il Parlamento europeo ha proclamato il 2008 "Anno del dialogo interculturale". "Il dialogo non è solo una bella conferenza ma anche la costruzione di istituzioni permanenti come questa" ha affermato Pierre Mairesse, direttore "Sport e politiche per la gioventù" presso la Commissione europea, all'apertura della sessione plenaria dell Emyp a Berlino. Per Sara Mourad, giovane libanese che ha aperto i lavori, "da oggi tutto ciò che succede nel Medio oriente è più vicino a ognuno di noi. Da oggi tutto succede alla porta accanto. La strada, il bar, le nostre classi a scuola saranno il Parlamento". All'apertura dei lavori parlamentari, ragazzi arabi della commissione "Impiego" hanno discusso con israeliani ed europei di soluzioni contro il lavoro illegale; "un importante punto di collegamento fra politica europea e giovani, un aiuto a superare gli ostacoli burocratici", afferma Vito La Fata, direttore del Centro studi e iniziative europeo. EUROMED: FIRST EURO-MEDITERRANEAN YOUTH SESSION
(ANSAmed) - BERLIN, JUNE 1 - The expected first meeting of the EMYP, Euro-Mediterranean Youth Parliament, was held today at Abgeordnetehaus in Berlin, the building of the regional parliament of the German capital.
