LIBRI: NOSTRO MARE NOSTRO DI CAPASSO, ARCHITETTO DEL
DIALOGO
(ANSAmed) - ROMA - Un libro per raccontare l'esperienza di ''architetto del
dialogo'' alla guida della Fondazione Mediterraneo, ma anche un percorso di
vita privata, in cui si intrecciano emozioni, riflessioni ed esperienze. E' il libro
appena uscito di Capasso, presidente della Fondazione Mediterraneo di Napoli.
L'autore ripercorre la propria esperienza alla guida della Fondazione, usando
come artifizio la descrizione di una giornata trascorsa in ospedale. E' un
intreccio di memorie e testimonianze in cui si incastrano pagine del 'Diario di
bordo' che l'autore ha pubblicato negli ultimi anni su quotidiani e periodici dei
Paesi euromediterranei. E' anche il percorso di vita privata dell'autore:
ingegnere, pittore, fotografo, ma sempre piu' architetto di pace e cultura nello
scenario euromediterraneo degli ultimi venti anni. Il libro narra dunque
un'esperienza singolare, in un momento storico e politico in cui il Mediterraneo
assume un'importanza strategica per la pace e lo sviluppo condiviso. Capasso
vuole testimoniare l'importanza di dare senso alla propria vita e di non
arrendersi davanti alle difficolta': lo fa con una scrittura semplice ed efficace in
cui le storie costituiscono un mix fra racconto e reportage dove tutto e'
rigorosamente vero, come testimoniano documenti e immagini. Il diario
scandisce la giornata in 18 episodi: l'immondizia, l'ambulanza, il cane, i fratelli
di Gaza, il grassone, il funerale, il bisturi, gli infermieri, il sondino, il
parcheggiatore, l'elicottero, la carezza, il clandestino, l'archivio, la protesi,
l'avvocato, l'arcobaleno, l'ultimo bacio. Il senso della narrazione e' di mettere in
evidenza, nella societa' globale, l'antico sapere che nel Mediterraneo l'essere
umano ha saputo sviluppare, nel legame con la terra e il mare, affrontando le
avversita' senza perdere la fiducia. (ANSAmed).

BOOKS: CAPASSO, 'THE ARCHITECT OF DIALOGUE'
(ANSAmed) - ROME, JUNE 4 - A book to recount the experience of the
"architect of dialogue", who leads the Fondazione Mediterraneo, but also a way
of private life, in which emotions, reflections and experiences intertwine. This is
the recently released book by Capasso, the president of the Fondazione
Mediterraneo of Naples. The author recounts his experience at the helm of the
foundation, using a day spent in hospital as his narrative device. It is an
intertwining of memories and testimonies, which brings together pages of the
'Diario di Bordo', which the author has published over recent years in daily
newspapers and periodicals of Euro-Mediterranean countries. It is also an
overview of the author's private life: engineer, painter, photographer, but he
has also been an architect of peace and culture in the Euro-Mediterranean
scene over the last twenty years. The book thus recounts a unique experience,
in a historical and political moment in which the Mediterranean takes on a
strategic importance to give sense to his life and not to surrender in the face of
difficulties. He does this with a simple and effective writing style in which the
stories make up a mix between accounts and reportage, where everything is
entirely true, as documents and images testify. The diary is split into 18
different episodes: rubbish, ambulance, dog, brothers of Gaza, the fat man, the
funeral, the scalpel, the nurses, the tube, the car park attendant, the
helicopter, the caress, the illegal immigrant, the archive, the prosthesis, the
lawyer, the rainbow, the last kiss. The sense of the narration is to highlight in
this global society, the ancient knowledge that man in the Mediterranean knew
how to develop, in the link with the earth and the sea, dealing with adversity
