EUROMED: ANNA LINDH FOUNDATION GETS 11.6 MILLION BUDGET
(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, APRIL 18 - The Anna Lindh Foundation for
dialogue and culture, based in Alexandria (Egypt), will benefit of a
11.6 million euro budget for the next three years. The information
was confirmed by members of the Euromed Commission who met on April
11 and 12 in Brussels where they approved the financial procedures
for the new Euro-Mediterranean institution. Sources report that the
European Union has provided funding for 5 million euros, whreas the
remaining 6.6 million euros for the budget have been provided for by
the 35 Euro-Mediterranean partners. Furthermore, during the April 12
meeting, the Euromed Committee, acting as the Foundation's Control
Committee, has approved the programme for the Foundation opening
ceremony, starting today and running to April 20 in
Alexandria.(ANSAmed).
