ISAM Notebooks gather projects and critical works made by the architects,
artists and cultural operators attending the Ischia Meetings (“Incontri
ischitani”), promoted by the Mediterranean Architecture Institute
in cooperation with the Mediterranean Laboratory Foundation.
The first notebook is devoted to the Mediterranean house, as a primary
settlement structure related to land conformation and to man’s
living environment. The materials worked out concern the islands
of Capri, Ischia and Procida, three geographical areas giving an
example of the relation between the morphological aspects of the
places and the housing systems.
