In the Mediterranean
area, the level of needs and the structural bonds related
to weather aridity have made the concept of scarcity of water
an actual problem. A good answer to water emergency consists
in the integrated management of resources. The book entitled
“L’acqua nei paesi mediterranei” is aimed
at comparing a

approaches, such as the geographic one focusing on weather and
geomorphic aspects and the fragility of Mediterranean ecosyste,and
the economic approach,which is very important in order to understand
the central role of the resources in the development of Southern
and Eastern Countries of the Mediterranean area. From the closing
round table, entitled Role of cooperation and investment opportunities
, with the participation of exponents from institutional and
corporate world, emerged a steady will to give operating contents
to the discussed problems. The President of the Fondazione Laboratorio
Mediterraneo, Michele Capasso, took part in the Round Table
delivering a speech. |
