The preservation and respect of collective memory, as well
as the strengthening of shared social networks, even though
only at micro-family level, are the tool to build a sense
of belonging and recognition, “humus” of culture

Most recipes are exactly taken from mum’s “cooking
notebook”, the others use the cooking vocabulary of
the places where the author had grown up. The former require
confidence or even inventive, if there is something not explained
in mum’s notebook because she considered it obvious.
