Thinking over “urban crisis”
during the numerous meetings held by the international scientific
community related to the research group Innovazione Tecnologica
e Trasformazioni Territoriali per la Città del XXI
Secolo (Technological Innovation and Territorial Changes for
the 21st Century City), the need has been felt of a new Town-Planning
Charter inspiring actions and behaviours for the city valorisation
and governance. The results of “City-Charter-Competition-Meeting”
and the contribution of many other colleagues and experts
in city issues, coming from twenty-seven Countries, gave rise
to Megaride 94 Charter, that lays the foundations for the
city of the future: a city of peace and science.
Corrado Beguinot, Professor of Town-Planning at the University
of Naples “Federico II” and member of the International
Scientific Committee of the Mediterranean Laboratory Foundation,
is the coordinator of the research group Innovazione Tecnologica
e Trasformazioni Territoriali per la Città del XXI
secolo.
