IL MEDITERRANEO PITTORESCO
Descritto da celebri viaggiatori ed illustrato dai migliori artisti

By Mario Congedo, Lecce 2006 (Italian), format 35x25; p. 400; ISBN 8880866451

The reissued “Il Mediterraneo pittoresco” (The Picturesque Mediterranean) – a result of cooperation among the Fondazione Mediterraneo, the Cultural Institute of the Mediterranean in the province of Lecce, and the Fundación Tres Culturas of Seville –  contains 400 pages of rare artefacts, texts, and over 500 watercolor paintings from the impressions of travellers from the end of the 1800s.

In this new version, edited by Mario Congedo of Lecce, the book serves as a way of bringing to the attention of the peoples of the Mediterranean the idea that they belong to a common geographic area.
