AFRICA E MEDITERRANEO
CULTURA E SOCIETÀ

Trimestrale
n. 30 aprile 2000 Anno VIII, Edizioni Lai-momo Bologna, pp.80
Direttore: Valentina Desalvo

Africa e Mediterraneo is a quarterly which contains in depth analysis on subjects linked to economics, history, culture and societies of African countries. The Fondazione Laboratorio Mediterraneo has periodically contributed with articles on the Mediterranean. The aim of this magazine is to analyse thoroughly the problems and the treasures of contemporary Africa and to contribute to the intercultural knowledge, by taking into account the strong link between Europe and African countries due to the heavy migratory flows.
Each issue contains a monographic dossier, literary articles, art, cinema, African music, intercultural, co-operation and education for development and immigration. The dossiers of A&M put an accent on contemporary facts in order to analyse and valorise the contribution of African artists and African intellectuals to the general cultural debate and to a future artistic expression. Not to be forgotten that there is still a very high percentage of people in Africa who can neither read nor write and who have not the possibility to go the movies or access the international art circuits: this is also the real Africa.
