On December 12th , 13th and 14th 1997
was held in Naples the II Forum Civile Euromed, organized by
the Fondazione Laboratorio Mediterraneo under the High Patronage
of the President of the Italian Republic. The first session
of this Forum dealt with matters concerning the Mediterranean
States as cultural and political models. The debate of the different
working tables produced a series of interesting proposals seeing
the Mediterranean basin as a remarkable and important resource
for the dialogue between the societies and cultures of the European
States in general.
