The sixth session
of the II Forum Civile Euromed, within the thematic area Values
and Cultures as Resources, stressed the need to detect a method
allowing, at the Mediterranean level, the application of the
same fundamental criteria as to cataloguing, promotion of
knowledge and valorisation of the cultural heritage. It was
confirmed the need to avoid duplications and to coordinate
quickly the different institutions dealing with the Mediterranean
cultural heritage. Among the proposed projects were: Labmed-Cultural
Heritage, aiming at cataloguing, at a Mediterranean level,
the cultural heritage in view of setting a data bank ; the
Mediterranean Library; the Mediterranean
Cinema House ; a Permanent Mediterranean Network for Biosphere
Reserves.
