EUROMED: CONFERENZA STAMPA PIATTAFORMA CIVILE A BRUXELLES

(ANSAmed) - BRUXELLES, 7 MAG - La piattaforma delle organizzazioni non governative euro-mediterranee terrà a Bruxelles il prossimo 13 maggio una conferenza stampa in seguito all'assemblea istitutiva riunitasi a Lussemburgo lo scorso 1 aprile. Nell'occasione José Moises Martin, il presidente della piattaforma che riunisce ong, sindacati e organizzazioni network dei paesi del partenariato euro-mediterraneo, ribadirà la proposta di istituire un meccanismo di consultazione tra le autorità del partenariato e gli esponenti della società civile. L'idea è stata lanciata durante il Forum civile euro-mediterraneo che ha tenuto la sua riunione annuale all'inizio di aprile per fornire indicazioni in vista del prossimo vertice dei ministri degli esteri Euromed che è previsto per il 30 maggio. La Piattaforma civile euro-mediterranea è attiva già dal febbraio 2003, ma è stata istituita ufficialmente lo scorso aprile quando si è dotata di uno statuto e di una Carta dei valori e degli obiettivi fondamentali e ha stabilito la sua sede in Francia. EUROMED: COMMITTEE OF NGO TO HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE ON MAY 13

(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, MAY 6 - The committee of Euro-Mediterranean non-governmental organisations will hold a press conference in Brussels on May 13 following an institutional meeting in Luxembourg on April 1. On that day José Moises Martin, the chairman of the committee bringing together ong, trade unions and various organisations from member countries of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, will put forward once again the idea of setting up a consultation body between the Partnership and the civil society. The idea was first launched during the euro-Mediterranean civil Forum held at the beginning of April to pave the way for the next Euromed summit of foreign ministers planned for May 30. (ANSAmed).
